Jimmy was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in October 2017 and played his first game there on Nov. 26, 2017, scoring a touchdown. This stellar start is only a glimpse of what will come.

Jimmy was drafted by the Patriots 62nd overall in the 2nd round of the 2014 NFL draft. Before the NFL, he was a star quarterback for the Eastern Illinois Panthers from 2010 to 2014. During his senior season at Eastern he won the Walter Payton Award, which is given to the best college athlete of the Division 1 Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). He was also named the 2013-14 Ohio Valley Conference Male Athlete of the Year.
